May 7-11- Teacher Appreciation Week

May 9- School Nurse Day

May 11th- School Wide Field Day/ Faculty v. Students Kickball Game (Cost is $1 per student)

SECOND SEMESTER AWARDS DAY 
*Parents will be notified with a detailed letter if their child is recieving an award
May 15th- Pre-K-3 Awards Day
May 16th- 4-6 Awards Day

    

May 22nd- 6th Grade Graduation at 9:00 in the gym

May 23rd- Kindergarten Graduation at 9:00 in the gym

May 24th- Last day for students- This will be a half day for students. We will dismiss at 11:15 and buses will run at that time. Students will be served breakfast and lunch that day.

Reports Cards will not be given prior to May 24th.

Kindergarten Registration
Students can register throughout the week between 8:30 and 2:30

We are proud to announce Mrs. Cindy Garcia as our Employee of the Month for the month of March. Mrs. Garcia has been at Weaver Elementary 13 years.  Mrs.Garcia served as the school ISD teacher her first year before moving to 4th grade for five years. For the past seven years she has taught 2nd grade. Mrs. Garcia recieved her BS in Early Childhood Education from Jacksonville State University. We are proud to have Mrs. Garcia working to change the lives of her students daily.

Mrs. Garcia received a free lunch from Los Arcos in Lenlock. Thank you Los Arcos for supporting our teachers!





                               CELEBRATIONS
The WES Technology Team competed in the ACTE Technology Fair last Friday at JSU. It was their largest fair ever with a whopping 585 students competing! WES brought home the medals!!!! 11 of our 24 projects will move on to the state level on May 5th in Montgomery!  Congratulations to all members of the team! We are so proud of you!
